Faculty / Directorate
The Systems Change Team forms part of the IT Directorate and plays a vital role in developing and managing comprehensive changes to how the university operates its technology. This includes delivery of a critical multi-year technology transformation journey to align our technology to the Digital Transformation strategy and new ways of working to ensure that the objectives of the Empowering University Strategy are met. The service brings together multiple capabilities including Business Analysis, Business Partnering, Enterprise Architecture, Testing, Project Management and Digital Skills into one cross-cutting team, and introduces a dedicated portfolio management capability for our strategic technology projects.
Role
As a Senior Business Analyst (IT), you will be directly supporting the Student Data Improvement Programme for a fixed term of approximately two years. Your work will focus on providing a Business Analysis capability within a dedicated project team tasked with improving the quality of our student data across 18 functional areas.
Your new job will require you to be client facing in delivering a variety analysis to projects and will include such tasks as: Requirement Specifications; Benefits Identification; Business Process Models; Gap Analysis; User Acceptance Tests; Standard Operating Procedures; Business Cases; and Options Appraisals. You will set the standards, processes, templates, system change specifications and support delivery where required.
This position is offered on a hybrid basis and the successful applicant will be required to adopt a flexible approach in terms of the number of days working either from home or on campus.
The role is on a full time (37 hours per week), fixed term contract until July 31st 2025.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an experienced, qualified and enthusiastic Senior IT Business Analyst who is currently working in a Business Analyst related role which may or may not be related to a Higher Education institution. We will need you to demonstrate your experience of working within a client facing role as well as your business improvement evaluation skills and understanding of IT systems and processes. We also need you to provide us with evidence highlighting your Business Analysis successes over your recent career.

£42,978 to £54,395. Grade G
