About the Role

Base Location: Perth, Glasgow or Aberdeen

Salary: £38,700 – £58,100 depending on skills and experience + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | options available

In an exciting period of growth, the Transmission business is working alongside Industry to reform the process for offering Generation developers connections to the network, while also considering development of future network requirements through local Area System Plans (ASPs). We have opportunities for experienced Senior Analysts to support highly impactful programmes from within our Business Planning Project Management Office (PMO).

Senior Analysts will drive the development and communication of our reform activities; this will involve extensive interface and co-ordination with internal and external stakeholders and will involve significant interface with our System Planning and Development teams. Our approach will lead the way in future development of the Transmission network in the north of Scotland and will involve significant external stakeholder interface. These are pivotal roles in our Business Planning Team so the successful candidates will play an important part in helping Scotland and the UK as we move towards Net Zero.

The key duties and responsibilities of this role include:

– You will work closely with key stakeholders and Project Sponsors to ensure the development, buy in, and approval of Project scope, governance, workplans and supporting project documentation.

– You will drive and lead workstreams to deliver on outputs, ensuring input from key areas across the business including System Planning, Project Development, Environmental & Consenting, Engineering, Stakeholder, Whole System & Operations.

– As a strong communicator, you will build and maintain productive and enduring relationships with key stakeholders to promote and gain buy in for deliverables.

– You will be expected to identify business improvements and where required support colleagues and the business to develop, test, implement and verify business improvements. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory and internal regulations, processes and governance.

What do I need?

To be considered, we look for you to have:

– A proven track record of leading and influencing working groups within a corporate setting, ideally with experience of operating within a PMO and/or regulated environment.

– Knowledge and experience of the wider energy industry and policy would be advantageous.

– Strong commercial acumen with well-developed interpersonal, problem-solving, communication and negotiation skills, allowing you to forge and maintain effective working relationships at all levels internal and external.

– A formal Project Management qualification, such as Prince 2 or APM PMQ is desirable.

– Knowledge of Lean practices with a passion for improving ways of working.
