You will be part of a diverse and creative team that is continually striving to offer the best quality products and services that are continuously transforming air travel.Cloud computing continues to allow us to transform and consolidate IT infrastructure, automate workloads, and pursue further levels of innovation. As a Senior VMWare/Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at SITA, you will be working with Infrastructure Cloud Engineering teams on various assignments that use Cloud technology and automation to tackle large-scale challenges.The world is changing. Are you ready to define the future of travel with us?WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Function as part of a multi-disciplinary squad to manage our Cloud Virtualization platform connectivity stacks within our Private Cloud
- Participate in Agile ceremonies to help deliver our commitments within our teams while also working in collaboration with the development teams to provide optimal service for applications
- Participate in design and feedback workshops to improve our services and quality of work while optimizing the virtual infrastructure and vDC’s in accordance with security policies and guidelines.
- Assist in solving issues with the Cloud services & platform related to network connectivity,
- Build Cloud platforms integrating connectivity between architectures & systems. Participate in design reviews and deliver on those designs.
- Continuous involvement in functions and processes including performance and capacity management, version management and security vulnerability management and review.
- Strong familiarity and use of industry compliance and security standards
- Good Analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills and an effective team player
QualificationsEXPERIENCE:
- More than 2 years of VMWare ESXi, vSphere, MS Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, vCloud Director and vCloud Foundation.
- Working knowledge and hands-on experience with vSAN, NSX-T, Kubernetes Networking, or exposure to others technology such as Service Mesh, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Knowledge and demonstrable experience of developing Automated scripts for IaC including Terraform with proven scripting ability with Python, Bash, etc.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Ability to review functional and technical requirements, raising potential issues and participating actively in design discussions.
- Use of DevOps tools and process in creating pipelines using CI/CD with technologies such as Jenkins or Azure.
- Knowledge of networking, load balancing principles, infrastructure management concepts, and common internet services/protocols.
