IDEX are supporting a dynamic and client-focused independent insurance brokerage dedicated to delivering personalised insurance solutions.

They are not tied to any specific insurance carrier, which enables them to offer truly impartial advice to our clients.
As they continue to grow, the Managing Director is seeking a Senior Account Handler to join his team.

Job Description:

As a Senior Account Handler you will have the opportunity to provide clients with unbiased, tailored insurance solutions. Your role will encompass client relationship management, policy administration, risk assessment, and expert guidance on insurance matters.
Working along side the Managing Director you will also have the opportunity to go build closer relationships with these clients by attending client meeting with him.

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their unique insurance needs.
  • Evaluate client risk exposures and provide recommendations for customised insurance solutions.
  • Skillfully negotiate terms and coverage with various insurance carriers to secure the best terms for clients.
  • Handle policy issuance, renewals, endorsements, and other administrative tasks.
  • Assist clients throughout the claims process, ensuring timely and equitable settlements.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, insurance products, and regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to insurance regulations and company policies.
  • Effectively manage a diverse portfolio of client accounts, meeting and exceeding client expectations.
  • Maintain open and regular communication with clients to address inquiries and provide necessary updates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in the independent insurance brokerage industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance products, underwriting, and industry regulations.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong negotiation and organisational skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in documentation.
