Job description: Fellows Construction Consultants (part of RSK Group) are looking for a Senior Cost Manager to join the team in Birmingham, UK. This is a full-time, permanent position. This is a unique opportunity to join a fresh innovative company with longstanding and loyal client base.

The Role:

The Senior Cost Manager will report to the Directors / Associate Directors, leading on major schemes whilst mentoring the more junior cost management team.
A Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors would be seen as a benefit but is not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost planning expertise
  • Chairing meetings
  • Measurement skills
  • Preparation of tender documents and good contractual knowledge
  • Good financial negotiation skills
  • Post Contract Cost Management skills

Person Specification:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Interpersonal skills / leadership and teamwork – ability to build and develop relationships
  • Numerical and data analysis
  • IT skills, including Microsoft suite, measurement software
  • Commercial awareness
  • Attention to detail
