This exciting company is a group of life-saving technology firms – and they are seeking a Senior Cyber Security Architect to join a team of over 7000 staff spread out over 20 countries – however you would be based primarily in London. This organisation has a common goal of making a meaningful impact on everyone.

The Senior Cyber Security Architect will report to the Managing Director of the Cyber & Infrastructure IT team. You will be responsible for helping the operating companies incorporate security and cyber resilience into their connected digital solutions and operations.

The digital solutions span the full gambit of IoT, Edge, AI, mobile and web applications. Enterprise IT landscape consists of different applications serving capabilities in the areas of ERP, CRM, E-Commerce, Finance. You will collaborate with stakeholders to identify risks, secure architectures, best practices and requirements that enable us to deploy secure systems at scale.

Main responsibilities for an Senior Cyber Security Architect

  • Consulting to product teams in security architecture and design, and conduct security reviews of new and existing products and services
  • Contribute to the development of the architectural practice, ensuring the inclusion of ‘Secure by Design’ principles
  • Conducting and reviewing threat models to identify the security risk
  • Ensuring that alternate solutions or countermeasures mitigate risks appropriately
  • Influence senior stakeholders to comply with architectural principles and objectives
  • Providing security training, outreach, and guidance to internal development teams

Must have’s for a successful Senior Cyber Security Architect

  • 5 – 15 years of overall commercial experience (ideally)
  • 5+ years’ experience in Cyber Security with experience in secure product design, vulnerability management and product security testing
  • A background in software engineering, with good knowledge of DevSecOps – essential
  • Understanding of application security threat modelling and security risk management
  • Experience in securing connected, edge, and IoT solutions
  • Experience in Business and Customer-facing application security
  • Experience implementing SDLC process and automation in a DevOps environment; ideally making use of OWASP best practice
  • Experience with web applications and backend services, including API design
  • Experience with IoT device specific communication/network technologies, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth LE, ZigBee, Z-Wave, etc.
  • Experience in application security of MS D365, Oracle, Salesforce, SAP
  • Experience in Edge and connected device security, specifically the security vulnerabilities of connected devices, Firmware and OTA frameworks

On top of the technical skills necessary for an Senior Cyber Security Architect , there are some professional attributes that you will ideally have also such as operational expertise doing the relevant tasks within a global company, naturally entrepreneurial with a can-do approach, and a commercial, analytically and strategic mindset.
