Job description: As a Senior Data Analyst in the public sector, you will be expected to lead an analytics team, providing strategic data-driven insights that contribute to the department’s efficiency and decision-making processes.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of data analysts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality data reports.
  • Provide strategic data-driven insights to aid in decision-making processes.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the analytics department.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their data needs and deliver accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and protection guidelines.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data analysis methodologies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of data strategies for the organisation.

Senior Data Analyst role in a very hybrid environment!|23 months FTC / Will almost certainly be extended for the right candidate.A successful Senior Data Analyst should have:

  • Proven experience in a data analyst role, preferably in the public sector.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software; R or Python, and Power BI or Tableau.
  • Able to co-ordinate and collaborate with stakeholders, as an analytical expert, to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to guide a team.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
