Salary: £44,000+ depending on experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Work with system architects, specialists from other disciplines, project teams and suppliers to define and agree the specifications for airborne equipment and their associated support requirements
- Development of all Complex Electronic Hardware (CEH) activities (when required) in accordance with DO-254
- Representing BAE Systems’ Engineering organisation in dealings with our Suppliers and Customers, and working with the supplier to ensure the equipment is compliant with its specification requirements, is supportive of the rig test requirements for the Avionic System and is qualified to support development flight test and the release into service in line with project programme requirements
- To ensure all equipment changes are correctly configured and formal modifications progressed in accordance with project design control procedures
- Taking the lead on the Equipment Engineering programmes, developing junior members of the team and ensuring all equipment changes are correctly configured and formal modifications progressed in accordance with project design control procedures
Your skills and experiences:
- Degree in a STEM subject and demonstrated relevant engineering experience in Aviation or a related field
- Experience working on requirements specification and development of airborne equipment
- Experience leading teams and developing engineering talent
- Experience working with suppliers and multiple stakeholders
- Must be suitable for clearance up to SECRET on UK national and UK involved multi-national programs
