An opportunity to join a successful main contractor who have several new contracts starting early 2024. The role in office based, in County Durham but will also include travelling to conduct site visits.

I’m looking for a Senior Estimator to price commercial refurbishment projects up to the value of 15 million. You will be involved in managing all aspects of tenders received, pricing, preparation and return.

Key responsibilities

  • Producing cost estimates for construction projects and creating budgets
  • Completing take-offs from construction plans
  • Gathering information from and liaising with sub-contractors
  • Attending tender review meetings
  • Writing proposals to assist with bids
  • Pricing variations, submitting interim claims and final accounts.
  • Develop and mentor junior staff
