About the Role

Our finance function operates at the heart of ASOS. Say goodbye to preconceptions of bean-counters and hello to a multi-functional, business facing department. Our finance team controls the cash within the business and also provides support to the business to help it make decisions to lead us to being a global online fashion destination.

As a Senior Finance Analyst within the FP&A team you will have the responsibility of partnering with the business and other finance teams to deliver accurate budgets, forecasts and reporting and learning the skills required to further progress your career.

What you’ll be doing

  • Reviewing and challenging the short-term cashflow; analysing movements between actuals vs forecast and forecast vs forecast
  • Liaising with other Finance teams, to ensure accurate and efficient data inputs for short-term cashflow
  • Produce timely, accurate and insightful reporting and analysis for Exec/external parties
  • Ad hoc analysis and scenario modelling to inform decision making on cash – requires business partnering with AP and Treasury
  • Assist with the transition from a direct cashflow forecast to indirect
  • Consolidation of cash actuals at month-end
  • Cash reporting to Management Committee/Board/External parties
  • Own Interest cost cash forecasting – business partnering with FA and Treasury
  • Own CAPEX forecasting – business partnering with Commercial finance.

Qualifications

We’d love to meet someone with

  • An accounting qualification (preferably CIMA, ACCA or ACA).
  • Business partnering experience
  • A proven ability to plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines.
  • A strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
  • Advanced skills in Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A high standard of accuracy with financial and statistical data.
  • An ability to organise own work and to take initiative.
  • An ability to organise own work and take initiative by being proactive.
  • An ability to determine insightful observations from detail for management attention.
  • Good communication/ interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Flexible and open to change.
