Job description: The Financial Accounting Manager position is a critical role in the Accounting & Finance Department, responsible for overseeing financial processes, ensuring compliance, and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
- Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision making
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Manage and mentor a team of junior accountants
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes
Reporting directly to the Head of Projects|Key stakeholder engagement with different areas of the business
- Professional accounting certification (e.g. ACA,CCA or CIMA)
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
