Job description: Senior Financial Accounting Manager (8b)Venn Group are currently supporting on an opportunity to work for an NHS Trust, based in South East of England. The role is a Senior Financial Accounting Manager (8b) paying up to £320 per day (commensurate with experience) on a 3-month temporary basis with the likelihood of an extension. The ideal start date for this role will be 2nd April 2024.Please see below the requirements for the role:– To support in delivering the financial strategy and key financial goals through the provision of high quality financial management, financial control and planning and advice and support. This involves strategic, organisational and operational discussion, analysis and reporting to enable the efficient and effective use of resource.– To prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts for the Trust including providing challenge to service assumption.– To prepare and review business cases ensuring that all costs / benefits are fully understood and that decisions on new initiatives are taken with full knowledge of the financial implications.– Reconcile CIP delivery with year on year comparisons and distinguish between cost avoidance, cost reduction, income generation and increased use of capacity.– Lead on the development and monitoring of the long term financial model.– Manage and review the preparation of the Trust’s short and longer term business plans ensuring:
- that the budgets are agreed by the Executive leads/budget holders and are within the control total
- that the budgets take account of the associated resource and capacity implications including workforce
- that the budgets take accounts of any relevant CIPs targets
- that capital expenditure and its revenue implications are considered
