We are currently looking for a new colleague to join us as Senior Applications Specialist Europe for our Food, Cryo and Water segments.
Context of the position
The role of the Senior Applications Specialist Europe is to drive the growth of Food, Cryo and Water segments across Europe with focus on the UK sub-region through the successful introduction and implementation of the Air Products applications and offerings in the market.
You are recognised as a technology and industrial process expert and will develop and expand our technologies in the market by understanding the industry dynamics and needs.
Your strong input is required to develop the segment strategy in Europe. In order to achieve maximum results great communication skills are required just as a strong project management and leadership attitude (towards Sales, COE, engineering, Marketing).
As Senior Applications Specialist Europe, your responsibilities are:
- Leading technical relationships with customers through the understanding and solving of their requirements and technical problems.
- Realising growth by introducing new offerings and implementing the Air Products offerings and preferred technical solutions.
- Providing technical training, expertise and consulting for commercial teams and less experienced people and supporting technically the commercial teams in their pursuit of new business, identification and demonstration of correct and most suitable technology.
- Ensuring technical development programs for Food and Cryo by identifying and capturing customer and industry needs and feed-back.
- Providing guidance for segment strategy in Europe and deliver clear understanding of insights in future market developments, trends and technologies.
Your profile:
- An Engineering degree
- Great communication and relationship building skills
- Strong Project Management and leadership skills
- Knowledge of chemical processes and experience with applications across the chemical industry
- Highly developed interpersonal skills: good communication and liaison skills, ability to influence effectively, strong diplomacy.
- Flexibility to travel
- Fluency in English, other languages are beneficial.
