About the Role:The Energy Division at ARM is currently seeking a Senior Human Factors Engineer to join a Leading Nuclear Defence ClientKey responsibilities include:

  • Prepare Human Factors Substantiation Reports (HFSRs)
  • Develop Fault Trees
  • Calculate Initial Human Error Probability (I-HEP)
  • Provide Human Factors input to Verification & Validation (V&V) activities.
  • Engage with safety and site teams to integrate Human Factors into the project.
  • Contribute to the integration of Human Factors into the wider project for the Defuel project at Devonport.

What you need to succeed:

  • Degree-level education in Engineering/Scientific discipline
  • Background in nuclear/radiological safety is beneficial.
  • Chartered Engineer registration (or working towards)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Previous experience in Human Factors work.
  • Familiarity with Human Factors related software.
  • Eligibility for Ministry of Defence security clearance
  • Willingness to work in a regulated environment.
