Birmingham – £32,000 – £40,000 + £3,000 Car Allowance

Applause IT are proud to be working with a growing and scaling MSP based in Birmingham who are looking for a Senior IT Engineer to work on a mix of BAU support and project delivery.

In this role you’ll actively participate in customer project delivery, whether it’s on-site or remote. Maintaining a strong focus on customer service is paramount for addressing all support inquiries while adhering to service management principles. Your responsibilities also include meeting all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) when responding to and resolving service tickets. Taking ownership of user issues and proactively addressing them is a key aspect of the role. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for meticulously logging all calls in the call logging system and maintaining comprehensive documentation.

The successful Senior IT Engineer will have experience in the following:

  • Setting up and managing business-level and enterprise-level networks.
  • Installing and providing continuous support for Windows Server (Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022), which includes services like Active Directory, Group Policy, NTFS Permissions, print management, DHCP, and DNS.
  • Configuring and overseeing Windows 10/11 devices using enterprise-level management tools such as Intune/SCCM.
  • Deploying and offering continuous assistance for Microsoft 365/Office 365, covering modules like Exchange Online, Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure AD), Intune, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, as well as security solutions like Windows Defender for Business and Office 365, and compliance, including information protection policies.
