Birmingham – Hybrid – £32,000 – £40,000

Applause IT are looking for a Senior IT Technician to join a fast growing reseller in Birmingham who specialise in providing an end to end IT and communications service. The candidate will need to have excellent customer service skills and be driven to succeed.

You will be providing technical support to customers and internal staff via phone, email and onsite as well as assisting the delivery of projects either onsite or remotely. You will also be responsible for installing and maintaining network infrastructures, cloud technologies and data security working on small projects such as Wi -Fi rollout, Windows 10 and basic networking set up.

The Senior IT Technician will need experience in:

  • Configuration and deployment of business/enterprise grade networks such as Active Directory, Group Policy, Print Management, DHCP, DNS.
  • Windows Server Deployment which will include versions: 2012, 2016, 2019 and 2022.
  • The deployment and support of Microsoft 365/Office 365 modules such as Intune, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Microsoft Entra and Windows Defender.
  • Designing, deploying, and supporting back-up solutions on-site and cloud based.

It will be desirable if the Senior IT technician has experience in:

  • Working in the MSP sector
  • WatchGuard
  • Azure
  • VMware

The working hours for this role will be from 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday, the organisation operates a hybrid working policy with a minimum of two days in the office. You will also need a full UK driving licence as the role will require you to travel to customer sites.
