Job description: Senior JavaScript Engineer – Technology & Media

6 Month Contract – UK, Remote

InterQuest are partnering a well-known technology media business and we are looking for a Senior JavaScript Engineer to join them on a contract basis for initially 6 months. Our client is an award-winning company and partner some of the world’s largest media and advertising brands.

The JavaScript Engineer will contribute to a new age of products, focusing on new technologies, enhancements and platforms that will drive strategic goals across the wider business.

Day to day responsibilities

  • Using Vanilla JavaScript or TypeScript to write clean code
  • Working with NodeJS or Express frameworks
  • Using Cypress or Jest in testing frameworks
  • Using Redux or any other state management systems

Experience

  • Experience and passionate about writing clean code.
  • Champion pair programming
  • Always considering and thinking about the underlying software architecture and how the business can continually improve
  • A strong advocate in Test Driven Development and understand the importance of this when writing code.
  • Comfortable working in Agile/Kanban environments
