Summary:

The School of Education is seeking to recruit an exceptional candidate for a Senior Lecturer post in Education. We seek applications from academics who can play a key role in advancing the School of Education’s strong position in delivering excellent research, knowledge exchange, high-quality teaching, and innovation at an international level.

We are seeking candidates with a PhD in a relevant subject area or have equivalent experience. You will show proven teaching ability in education and related fields, ideally with a teaching qualification and/or Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. Evidence of crafting and delivering high-quality, research led, teaching programmes leading to effective learning is crucial. You will have a strong background of research including an international reputation, publications in highly ranked international journals, evidence of success in external funding capture, a commitment to interdisciplinary and collaborative research and knowledge exchange.

You will have experience of high-quality teaching at all levels in Higher Education. You will also have the capacity to develop and lead successful research projects and teams, and mentor academic staff in teaching, research, income generation, publication and impact activities. The post requires a contribution to our postgraduate programmes, and undergraduate teaching, as appropriate.
