Applications are open for a part-time Senior Lecturer in Education to be a member of our Postgraduate teaching team with a particular focus on our Academic Professional Leadership (APL) suite of programmes, which includes the Academic Professional Apprenticeship (Level 7). 

The successful candidate will have a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (or equivalent) and Senior Fellowship status (Advance HE fellowship). 

You will use innovative and inclusive learning and teaching strategies which serve to motivate and support staff to achieve outstanding academic and professional outcomes. You will be knowledgeable about pedagogical practices and demonstrate an understanding of the methods used for evaluating the effectiveness of academic activities, such as the quality and impact of research. 

As part of the teaching team, you will afford learners a range of professional and academic opportunities to develop as effective, accountable and reflective practitioners. You will need to highly value the learner experience, and understand the complexity of learners who are also colleagues.

We expect to appoint a future-facing, adaptive candidate who is fully conversant with current debates within Higher Education. You will be motivated and have a genuine interest in inspiring those who are new to working in the Higher Education Sector.

Upon appointment the job title for this role will be Senior Lecturer in Education.

Hours of work will be two and a half days a week, and occasional evening and weekend working.
