Job description: Senior / Legal Counsel – My client, a global insurance organisation, is looking to recruit a new Senior Legal Counsel to join their existing team of 6. Reporting to the Lead Counsel you will: – Draft, review and negotiate complex agreements and contracts to reflect current and changing business/legal needs and the company’s objectives; – Assess risks associated with particular contract provisions and provide alternative contract language or provisions to allow for appropriate development of business practices and procedures; – Assist with design, review and implementation of strategic projects including development of new products and service; – Lead negotiations with clients and, working alongside compliance, regulators; and – Manage and facilitate instruction of external counsel for specialist insurance advice (where required) and for other territories. This role would be best suited to a lawyer with at least 2 years PQE who can demonstrate experience in a regulated industry. Experience in financial services or another B2B environment would be advantageous. This is a really experienced legal team within a business at the cutting edge of their sector. This role will be remote with a requirement to visit the North West office every couple of months.
