Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel, to be based in their South West based office, to join its Legal team as part of the legal teams continued growth.
You will be a commercially minded with a particular focus on drafting, negotiating high-value, complex contracts.
Profile
· 10+years PQE (some flex)
· Experience with reviewing, drafting and negotiating complex contracts with customers, intermediaries, and suppliers.
· Lead and grow a small commercial team
· Act as the primary contact for senior stakeholders in a range of business units and corporate support departments.
· Project manage cross-functional teams in business change projects that support the business’ key objectives across multiple disciplines.
· Provide practical solutions to complex legal problems in the manner of an experienced business partner.
· Build relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the business to help influence and implement business strategy and direction.
· Support and deputise as required for the Deputy General Counsel in your areas of expertise.
· Experience in delivering pragmatic legal and compliance advice in a demanding and ever-changing business environment.
· Display impeccable integrity and a willingness and ability to lead by example.
· Be conversant in all aspects of intellectual property and commercial law.
· Show a passion for technology and innovation and bringing about business change.
· Have in-house experience or be able to display a deep understanding of the challenges a fast-moving revenue generating business faces.
· Ideally, be fluent in a second European language.
· An innovative spirit and curiosity about business; a keenness for process efficiency and improvement.

· Have the ability to appreciate the commercial and legal needs of the business.
