Job description: About the Role

We’re looking for an eCommerce Manager to join our growing activation team embedded into EMEA agency in London. If you’re passionate about driving ecommerce growth for a portfolio of global brands – this is the role for you.

The role is combined role across both activation & Strategy. Your focus will be to drive the client’s Amazon performance in Europe.

In the role you will work with local agency teams to devise award-winning platform campaigns that leverage all aspects of Amazon’s ads ecosystem to build brands and grow sales. You will define the right mix of media channels & tactics on Amazon, across Sponsored Ads/Search, DSP Display, Video, Twitch, Live & Off-Amazon media.

Key Responsibilities

  • Amazon
  • You will know Amazon’s Advertising ecosystem inside and out and have a passion for all things Amazon, retail media and eCommerce.
  • Amazon Strategy & Planning
  • Identify new opportunities for growth and efficiencies within Amazon and develop and drive plans that capitalise on these opportunities (incl. advising on leverage of tools & technology)
  • Collaborate with other agency teams where relevant to ensure Amazon media strategies connect with wider Retail Media and Communications Plans for brands
  • Be able to analyse multiple data sources confidently and accurately, highlight the most relevant KPIs for each client, draw key insights and write commentary within the context.
  • Ecommerce Activation
  • Help Clients to plan and develop retail media budgets and KPIs and then help to manage the team to build campaigns execute on the agreed objectives.
  • Provide recommendations to improve sales & margin, through effective retail & marketing planning.
  • Lead quarterly reviews and devise test & learn roadmaps
  • Client Management:
  • Effectively and confidently communicate with clients and internal teams, delivering eCommerce analysis, insight, and strategy coherently to an audience with a broad eCommerce understanding.
  • Team Management
  • Managing a team of 4 eCommerce specialists, owning responsibility for your team’s output, acting as the escalation point when required. Coach the team through their annual reviews.

Skills/Technical Capabilities

  • Strong eCommerce experience, ideally including paid search (PPC / Search Engine Marketing), and DSP or programmatic activation.
  • Demonstrate implementation of multi-channel media strategies, advising on the right balance between Amazon search, DSP and other media tactics, in orchestration with organic and retail tactics (portfolio, content, etc.) to maximise sales
  • Enjoy educating clients about all things eCommerce and how optimising search can drive eCommerce efforts
  • Knowledge & experience of performance analysis, forecasting & creating high level & in depth reports
  • Additional language skills would be desirable but not essential (French/ German)

About you

  • Ecommerce activation experience through Criteo, Amazon Advertising Platform (AMS, AMG and DSP), CitrusAD and / or other retail players
  • Strong eCommerce experience, ideally including paid search (PPC / Search Engine Marketing), and DSP or programmatic activation, retailer eCommerce activation / performance display at either a digital agency or client-side and experience with team management.
  • Demonstrate implementation of multi-channel media strategies, advising on the right balance between Amazon search, DSP and other media tactics, in orchestration with organic and retail tactics (portfolio, content, etc.) to maximise sales
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Enjoy educating clients about all things eCommerce and how optimising search can drive eCommerce efforts
  • Good negotiating skills paired with ability to dive deep into performance reporting. Good to have:
  • Knowledge & experience of performance analysis, forecasting & creating high level & in depth reports
  • Experience working with & advising on the implementation of tagging & tracking
  • Additional language skills would be desirable but not essential (French/ Spanish/German/Italian)
  • Ambitious, driven and passionate about all things eCommerce, with an excellent comprehension of how search serves as the backbone of online purchases
