Managing the team that manage transactions for all NewDay companies!
Leading and developing a team of finance professionals to deliver an outstanding function for the group’s Purchase to Pay (P2P), Purchase Ledger (PL) and Sales Ledger (SL). You will drive process and policy to ensure a robust and controlled environment is maintained, which is scalable and fit for purpose.
Continuous interaction with key internal and external partners for the business, providing expert guidance and support for existing and new projects.
You’ll deliver
Full ownership of Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger processes and manage transactions for all NewDay companies.
The evolution of the P2P process and departmental function performance such as requisition/purchase order transaction processing, invoice processing, handling vendor and staff queries, related management reporting, and corresponding internal controls.
Development of the PL & SL Team to Build and support the continued development of the Multi-Entity business processing including additional payment streams as required.
A review (leading the PL & SL team) and approval of Employee Expense Claims ensuring adherence to policy.
Business wide reporting for internal and external stakeholders, such as Payment Practices Reporting including presentation at Executive level as required. Define and document risks and controls and ensure they are understood with controls that are fit for purpose.
Ensuring that Audits (internal and external) are prepared and planned for.
The enforcement of business-wide adherence to company policy.
Execute the Month End close of accounts payable information and support the accounting team with reporting and analysis as required.
What you’ll bring
We need knowledge, experience + expertise in:
Leadership; experience of overseeing a busy Finance department.
Purchase Ledger and Procure-to-Pay systems.
Double entry book-keeping.
Understanding relevant regulatory requirements.
Sales Ledger processes.
Employee Expense claiming processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with commitment to high standards and attention to detail.
