Business Director – Marine/Transportation

Senior Marine Placing Broker

Job description

As a Marine Placing Broker you value 3 things within a role…. Having a strong technical back up team to support you with slip production, being part of a stable business with little changes/M&A distractions, and a career road map put down for you to progress into leadership or production role over time.

If you want exactly this, please carry on reading…

Due to an impending retirement, IDEX are recruiting for a rare opportunity to inherit a portfolio of international wholesale marine business, representing a mid-sized, growing Lloyd’s broker in London.

You will enjoy a varied role, with exposure to Hull & Machinery, P&I, Marine Liabilities and Cargo, whilst having a strong technical team behind you. Your clients will be global, but with specific emphasis within Europe.

This will be predominately a market facing role, servicing your clients and placing risks within Lloyd’s. You can certainly get involved in production if this is an area of interest, but would certainly not be a pre-requisite.

Salary/package will be attractive, and will come with a plethora of benefits which includes group income protection, CII support, Electric Vehicle Scheme, and strong pension.

To be considered, you’ll be an experienced Marine Broker with a diverse background handling different lines of business. If you’re a Hull & Machinery expert, even better.
