Lead Mechanical Design Engineer – The Role:
⦁ Responsible for the day to day management of projects ensuring delivery of technically compliant designs through to manufacture
⦁ Production and verification of fit for purpose design & calculations
⦁ Delivery in accordance with allocated budgeted cost and timescales
⦁ Day to day management of the project design team
⦁ Supervision, verification and production of design deliverables
⦁ Design co-ordination with other engineering disciplines
⦁ Implementation of UK H&S legislation and appropriate design standards
⦁ Identification and inclusion of bought out plant and equipment
⦁ Presentation and/or participation at HAZOP and Design Reviews
⦁ Liaison with manufacturing, testing and commissioning personnel to ensure design optimisation
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – The Person:
⦁ Formal qualification essential
⦁ Previous experience of concept design of special purpose, mechanical handling, robot automation or assembly lines would be highly advantageous
Role would also suit a Lead Engineer or a Team Leader from an Engineering background looking for a challenging role designing bespoke machinery
Position is hybrid. 3 days office. Position available for contractors inside IR35. 1 year duration. Competitive rates paid.
Based in the West Midlands, this position would be commutable from West Bromwich, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Telford, Cannock, Stafford and surrounding areas.
