The Role and Department

The Department of Physics at Durham University is one of the top UK Physics department with an outstanding reputation for excellence in teaching, research, and employability of our students. The post holder will be responsible for the planning, design, development and production coordination of optical instrumentation projects with CfAI. The work will also entail the coordination of the resources of this specific project team to ensure the timely delivery of all projects. This will include forward planning and resource projection.

When required the post holder will also be responsible for technical find managerial support on projects working closely with both the internal and external stakeholders. They will also support proposal preparation specifically in relation to the technical specification and design.
