Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Payroll Associate for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract for our Finance Shared Service group located in Riccarton, Edinburgh.
Our payroll department is a managed service payroll processing service supporting various Charles River Companies throughout continental Europe. The principal duties of the Senior Payroll Associate will be:
· Preparation of monthly payroll for Charles River Laboratories and any subsidiaries or associated companies in line with pre-determined reporting dates.
· Maintenance of salary records
· Provide backup with all other payroll tasks
· Support continuous improvement projects
· Ad hoc payroll related requests and submissions
· General administration tasks
The following are minimum requirements related to the Senior Payroll Associate position:
· Experience of working in multi-national organisation with regional or global payroll departments
· IT proficient – particularly fluent in Excel, Word and PowerPoint; PowerBI (preferred)
· Continuous improvement mindset;
· Ability to work within a fast paced, deadline driven and evolving environment.
· Good Stakeholder management
The following would be beneficial but not essential:
· Experience operating ADP Globalview and/or SAP Payroll Platforms
· Experience with ADP Global view platform and Celergo
· Proven track record operating within an outsourced payroll model
· Experience of operating within a centralised payroll function supporting EMEA
· Language skills, in particular Dutch or French
· Understanding of SOX controls
The salary for this role is £33,000, however exceptions can be made depending on experience.
