Job Description

We are currently seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join our friendly and busy Administration Team at the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology, NDORMS, University of Oxford.  

You will support our team of world-class researchers in their cutting-edge research through the timely and accurate processing of orders in line with the University’s purchase-to-pay processes and procedures. You will provide cover for the receptionist during absences and carry out any other tasks commensurate to the role.

 

You will have experience in a purchasing or accounts environment, with excellent problem-solving skills, accuracy and attention to detail. You will be able to communicate successfully with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and provide a high standard of customer service at all times. Experience of working in a University, academic or research environment, and of using Oracle Financials R12, would be beneficial.

This is a full-time, permanent post. As part of your application, you will be required to submit a supporting statement, outlining how you meet the selection criteria for the role, using examples from your skills and experience.

 

A lower grade offer (Grade 3: £22,681- £ 25,138 p.a.) may be made to a less experienced candidate or candidates who need further training if a suitable candidate cannot be found to fill the Grade 4 position.
