Develop leadership skills and experience in the management of the department.Assist the Theatre co-ordinator in leading the team, ensuring the theatre services are efficiently and effectively utilised.Review both nursing and theatre practice and implement appropriate changes based on research/best practice.Be an effective role model, and teach and act as a facilitator/mentor/preceptor to members of the team.Provide and maintain effective communication with the multidisciplinary team, both within and out of the operating departments.About usWe are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with five hospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 800,000 people. - Demonstrates patient focused approach
- Registered Nurse, ODP III/ODA C&G 752 ODP Diploma/ Anaesthetic course for nurses.
- Completion of /willingness to complete Preceptorship Programme
- Mentor Qualification or willingness to complete
Desirable
- Previous experience at Band 5 within specialty
- Evidence of facilitating learning in practice
- Evidence of on-going personal + professional development
- Mentor Qualification or ENB 998
