Senior SITS Analyst Developer at University of Bradford
Job Description
The Senior SITS Analyst Developer will work as part of a small team to design, build, test, and support SITS and e:Vision solutions.
You will be working mainly on delivery of the SITS Programme which consists of six projects including admissions, student finance, curriculum management, extenuating circumstances, research management & HESA data futures. This role will also include supporting and enhancing existing processes and functionalities.
You will act as a SITS subject matter expert, collaborating with other teams and business representatives. Your role will focus on developing, configuring, & supporting SITS solutions to fulfil business process requirements with consistent, high-quality, and maintainable results.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Degree level or equivalent qualifications in a computer related discipline or appropriate equivalent experience
Desirable:
- Certification in relevant technologies
- ITIL Foundation
Experience, skills, and knowledge
- Significant demonstrable experience of large scale SITS and e:Vision support & development including StuTalk, TUPs, SRLs, SLPs, Tasks, Vistas, Tribal templates or Blueprints
- System Tools & Data Model
- Development using SQL, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Skilled in systems analysis and problem diagnosis and resolution
- SITS specific scripting & scheduling
- Experience of managing changes to e:Vision look and feel
- Ability to document solutions & systems and communicate how they work to others
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Understanding of long-term implications of support / solution design decisions
- Ability to work using modern enterprise development standards & methodologies
- Understanding of GDPR & security best practices within an IT environment
- Skilled at unit & module testing as well as organising UAT
Rewards and benefits
Salary: Grade 9; £46.974 to £54,395 (up to £61,198 with discretionary points)
Pension: USS defined benefits pension scheme
Annual leave: 30 days (or 217.5 hours), in addition to eight bank holidays and five customary days

Although the role is remote, it is anticipated that you will be required to attend University campus a few times a year. Advanced notice will be provided. You must reside in the UK for the duration of the employment contract. - Work pattern: 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Occasional out of hours work may be needed in exchange for compensation or time in lieu.
