Job Description
The Registrar and Secretary’s Office at Leeds Beckett University is looking to appoint a Senior Systems Support and Development Officer to work within our Student Systems Support and Development team.
The appointed candidate will be responsible for delivering professional system development, enhancement, and support functions for our student records system (Banner) and other related student systems, in particular the support and maintenance of our new attendance monitoring system (SEAtS).
We are looking for candidates with experience of working with complex records systems, preferably within the HE sector.
They will support the Student Systems Manager in overseeing the development of the team, its work and the services and guidance offered to stakeholders in a complex and changing environment.
This post is key to supporting the effective processing of our student records to a high standard.
You will:
- Have experience of working in a busy administrative role, working across multiple teams and liaising with external software suppliers
- Be able to evidence the delivery of a high level of customer service in a system support role
- Require expertise in both implementing new systems and developing current systems in relation to identifying business needs, gathering requirements and working with technical teams to deploy technical solutions including impact assessments and successful system integrations
- Understand and have experience of delivering quality assured system developments, ensuring that test plans are in place and change management processes are adhered to
- Have experience of system upgrades and the governance of IT systems, including managing access, information security, data protection and data quality.
