The role

The Student Accommodation team plays an essential role in attracting a diverse range of students to Bristol and helping to deliver an outstanding student experience.

We plan and manage the annual allocation of more than 10,000 beds in University-owned and partnership accommodation, delivering high-quality customer service and advice to students.

What will you be doing?

As Senior Accommodation Officer (Systems and Operations), you will have end to end oversight of the accommodation application and allocation, testing and delivery in our accommodation system; StarRez.

Focusing on customer experience, you will have the opportunity to work with staff, students and external partners to develop the service by identifying and implementing improvements to the system and our processes.

You will take the lead in the operational delivery of our most important process, by analysing application preference data and running allocations in StarRez you will match students to accommodation that meets their need.

You should apply if

  • You have a track record of systems and process improvement and putting users at the heart of service delivery.
  • You are passionate about delivering a high-quality customer experience.
  • You have excellent prioritisation and organisation skills, with the ability to manage a busy workload with competing priorities.
  • You have advanced IT literacy (esp. Microsoft Office), excellent data management skills, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • You have strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • You have excellent attention to detail and care about getting things right.
  • You take ownership of problems and seek to find sustainable solutions.

Please note this role offers hybrid working, with an expectation of 2 days per week on campus.
