The Role
As Senior Teaching Fellow in Adult Nurse Education you will undertake teaching and course co-ordination while supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs and other core activities ensuring students have an effective learning experience. Senior Teaching Fellows lead on aspects of the student learning experience including the leadership of staff teams.
Duties include:
- Lead the curation, adaptation, design and development of module and course teaching materials including Curriculum development.
- Overseeing the Adult Blended Nursing Programmes in London (Vauxhall Campus – SE11 5HY)
- Working in partnership across the London Boroughs
- Module Leadership
- Teaching on modules and courses at HE levels 4,5,6, and 7
- Leading moderation and quality assurance of appropriate module assessment
- Uphold high standards of academic integrity in all aspects of learning and teaching
Qualifications Required
- Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
- Master’s degree in an appropriate subject OR (if from a professional practice background) a good Honors Degree and an appropriate professional qualification and/or membership
- A teaching qualification or extensive experience of delivering professional and/or university education
- PhD or active membership of an appropriate professional body would be advantageous
Our Successful Candidate
Previous experience of teaching within a Higher Education Institution is highly desirable and your application should detail your areas of clinical/teaching experience and expertise and your application should detail your areas of clinical/teaching experience and expertise.
You will have demonstrable experience of successful teaching at higher education levels 4-7 in Adult Nursing with the development and demonstration of best practice in teaching, learning and assessment consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning.
An experienced team leader with good level of digital fluency, you will have experience using creating teaching materials for face to face and online teaching using a VLE.
Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you will have experience in the development and enhancement of an ‘active learning’ pedagogy as appropriate to the academic subject area.
