The Royal Albert Hall is an independent charity, which does not receive any government revenue funding.
The Hall is in the early stages of a Capital Campaign and has major ambitions for investment in our Grade I Listed Victorian building as part of the Estate Plan. Income raised from Trusts & Foundations will be vital for the success of our capital plans and the Senior Trusts & Foundations Manager will primarily be focused on generating funds from high value Trusts to support our goals.
We also have a thriving Engagement programme which reaches more than 100,000 people a year and which receives significant funding from Trusts and Foundations.
The Senior Trusts & Foundations Manager reports to the Head of Philanthropy and has line management responsibility for the Philanthropy Coordinator.
This is an exciting and significant moment to join the Royal Albert Hall and the successful candidate will be part of the Philanthropy team which includes a Head of Philanthropy, Patrons & Major Gifts Manager, Friends & Patrons Coordinator, Executive Events Manager, Philanthropy Coordinator and Senior Prospect Researcher.
The role
- Proven track record of securing and managing high value and complex grants from Trusts and Foundations and other grant makers, including statutory funders.
- Extensive experience in Trusts & Foundations fundraising, preferably in arts, heritage or education.
- Experience or knowledge of fundraising for Capital Campaigns
- Confidence in building and maintaining relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Proactive attitude and experience of working with initiative and demonstrating control over individual areas of responsibility.
- Experience with Tessitura or similar database systems.
- An understanding and knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018).
- Excellent presentation, communication and social skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of prospects and donors.
