- Develop and progress the Deloitte on premise, private cloud server technologies roadmap in alignment with Deloitte technology strategy.
- Lead on the planning of on-premise hardware and software refresh activities across both HyperV and VMware hypervisor platforms.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a single support function that will provide on premise and cloud Wintel support services. This will eventually include Linux.
- Provide support to an in flight data centre migration project, ensuring the smooth migration of virtual machines and physical servers to a new data centre.
- Represent the server team on project meetings and where necessary provide innovative solutions to address customer requirements and issues.
- Identify shift left opportunities and champion the behaviour in the team to ensure server team SME’s are utilised to the best of their abilities.
- Engage with the wider Deloitte NSE hosting strategy and ensure the server team provide the necessary support to the team responsible for migrating applications and servers to the cloud.
- Contribute to the planning and rollout of a continuous server lifecycle review process.
- Be an escalation point for all server team issues.
- Hold regular check-in meetings with team members, contribute to team development plans and objective reviews.
- Manage relationships with vendors including Microsoft and VMware.
- Monthly KPI reporting.
- Cost centre management including monthly invoice reviews.

- Strong hands on experience in design, deployment and operational management of Windows Server IT Infrastructure 2016 to 2022
- Knowledge of HP Sever Hardware including HP Synergy, DL ProLiant and BL Class Blades
- Extensive knowledge and design understanding of Windows Hyper V and VMware
- Knowledge of supporting Windows servers in an Azure Cloud Enterprise environment
- People Management experience
- Strong TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP networking knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire
- Organised and excellent time management
- Willingness to promote team achievements and provide constructive feedback
- Cultural awareness and experience working with offshore team members
- Excellent knowledge of ITIL processes including incident, problem and change
