Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity to work with a ground-breaking aviation company to help develop and conduct software and equipment testing for their actuator team. You’ll be working directly with our client to work on innovative solutions to testing and validation in efforts to certify a new aircraft design.
Some of your tasks will involve but may not be limited to:
- Physically performing testing and work with the actuator/test team.
- Conducting software and equipment testing of actuators once given training with the LabVIEW program and rig interface.
- Assessing risks and using this judgment to only proceed with tests when the level of risk is appropriate and proper precautions have been taken to reduce the level of risk.
- Working also in the electro-mechanical domain and possessing at least a basic mechanical knowledge.
- Using your prior coding experience e.g. C/C++, Java, Python, Visual Basic, Fortran – to be applied to extend the application of pre-existing Python and Matlab scripts.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Degree in Electrical / Electro-Mechanical Engineering or closely related subject.
- Min 3 years’ experience of working in the aerospace industry.
- Prior coding experience (e.g C/C++, Java, Python, Visual Basic, Fortran)
- Understanding of basic circuitry
- Previous experience in electrical testing
- Current right to work in the UK at the time of applying.
Desirable:
- Understanding of aerospace requirements management (DOORS)
- Understanding of risk management
- Previous consultancy experience
- Electro-mechanical skills and experience
