Job description: Sole Legal Counsel | Luxury Hotel Group | LondonWe are thrilled to announce our exclusive partnership with a highly esteemed Luxury Hotel Group, marking the search for their first in-house legal hire.In this role, you will oversee all legal and compliance matters. You will engage in strategic advisory responsibilities alongside the CFO and take charge of managing relationships with external legal counsel.The BusinessThis Luxury Hotel Group boasts a rich history, spanning over 250 years, and offers a diverse range of services encompassing entertainment, leisure, sports, and more. This prominent figure in the luxury hotel sector has hosted numerous high-profile sporting and entertainment events.The business is seeking an experienced in-house lawyer to navigate and lead them through their continued growth.The RoleAs the Sole Legal Counsel, your main duty will be to head up the Legal & Compliance function. This involves tasks such as drafting and negotiating various commercial agreements, handling corporate acquisitions, tax, real estate, data protection, and much more.You will also have the exciting opportunity to lead summer events hosted by the hotel, collaborating closely with sponsors and affiliated partners.You will liaise with external legal counsel, managing these relationships and acting as a strategic advisor to the CFO in navigating legal risks. Furthermore, you will play a leading role in providing legal training to enhance compliance across all departments.Requirements7+ years PQE – UK QualifiedExpertise in commercial contracts, real estate, corporate (in-house experience preferred)Preferred experience in the Hospitality, Luxury Goods, Events, Real Estate sectorsIf you are a seasoned in-house Commercial lawyer seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity, we invite you to reach out and explore this exciting role.
