Key responsibilities:

  • Implement business rule changes in SATS Hub Support System.
  • Produce daily, weekly and monthly sort system performance reports and present to management as required.
  • Execution of day-to-day routing changes to the sort plan and communicating changes to all relevant parties during pre Ops briefings and meetings with the Process Manager.
  • Parameter maintenance of AHS3 set up as per sort plan.
  • Maintain and log all routing database changes.
  • Ensure the pre-sort checks are performed before & after each shift change.
  • Analysis of data to ensure Autosort and Sort Plans are at their most efficient.
  • Manage and advise on high volume areas and areas of concern to the ground operations.
  • Monitor and balance material flows through the sort system ensuring flexibility and capacity of the system are managed and maintained at all times of the Operation.
  • Monitor and report mechanical issues reported by SCADA ensuring minimal impact to the Operation and maximum on time connectivity.
  • Incident reporting and resolution – minor/major impact.
  • Daily report generation and distribution at SMT level
  • Collaborate with sort control team and other departments with a combined view to actively drive continuous improvement and achieve department KPIs.
  • Monitor volumes on the sorter heading to Chutes, X-Rays, Flyersort and Exceptions. Communicate necessary actions to the operations, ITS or NCC teams.
  • Plan ahead for sort plan requirements with schedule changes and volume peak for International holiday periods.
  • Ensure all incidents causing any impact to Operations are reported, logged and form a daily hand over / shift report resulting in a smooth handover to the following shift,- post Ops.
  • Using SATS & SCADA for potential issue identification, fault diagnosis.
  • Provide training to new employees.
  • Assisting sort control analyst as required
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with Senior management, network planning, ULD/Network control. C&L, Engineering, IT applications, Service Quality, Operations management and Facilities.
  • Monitor and ensure that all required standards such as Health and Safety, Security, ISO9002, GSOP, DG goods and DFT are fully complied with.
  • Respond to tracing requests and reweigh queries.
