Hours: 4 on 4 off, 5 on 5 off, rotating days and nights. 06:00 – 18:00 / 18:00 – 06:00

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Sort Maintenance team as a Maintenance Engineer!

Key responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and improve all safe operating procedures including LOTOTO, risk assessment and safe systems of work.
  • Responsible for asset performance, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
  • Proactively execute reactive and planned maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure that the CMMS is updated to ensure KPI’s can be reported.
  • Ensure continuous improvement is at the heart of everything you do.
  • Participate in root cause analysis, ensuring all lessons are learned from unplanned breakdowns.
  • Take responsibility for your own development and coach/mentor others.

All employees are responsible for the health and safety of themselves and also those affected by their activities.

You must conduct yourself in an orderly manner within the workplace, ensuring that correct uniform and PPE is worn.

You’ll bring to this role:

  • A minimum level 3 apprenticeship, electrically biased, preferably multi-skilled.
  • Experience with freight sortation equipment preferable but not essential.
  • A safety first attitude.
  • Experience working with Siemens PLC, HMI & SCADA systems.
  • A good working knowledge of health and safety systems, LOTOTO, SSOW, RAMS etc.
  • Computer literature.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
