Daily Rate: £76 to £85 per day
Start Date: January 2024

GSL Education Hull are looking for Special Education Needs Teaching Assistants to work within community special schools in Hull, starting on January 2024.

This position offers you the opportunity to excel within your career and make a real difference to the quality of young people’s lives.

SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Be hardworking, dedicated, and committed to a long-term post.
  • Excellent communication skills. Candidates with experience using PECs and Makaton are advantageous but not essential.
  • Work alongside teaching staff and other support staff within schools, to support pupil behavior, learning and personal development.
  • Encourage pupil participation in Whole-School life, including extra-curricular activities where appropriate.
  • Promote a positive attitude and behavior towards learning.
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions, following lesson outcomes planned by the class teacher.
  • Have a Teaching Assistant Qualification, Degree, NVQ or relevant experience.

Aspiring candidates must have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one via GSL Education.
