Job description: An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Children and Young People’s Therapy Team in Folkestone- this is a highly specialist post for 18.75 hours/ week based at the Beacon in Folkestone.We are a Children and Young People’s Therapy Service, recognising the benefits of integrated working across Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language and Physiotherapy and this post is integral to this ethos. We work out of three different localities, The Rainbow Centre in Ashford, The Beacon Centre in Folkestone and the Children’s Assessment Unit at Buckland Hospital, Dover. We have over 90 other therapists ranging from assistants, junior therapists to more senior specialists in our team.Main duties of the jobThis post:

  • To work as a highly specialist member of the team bringing your expertise for children and young people in Folkestone
  • To provide clinical supervision to less experienced occupational therapists and assistants within the service.
  • To work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary/agency team to ensure effective service provision.

We are seeking:

  • A proactive, creative and highly motivated Occupational Therapist

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience of working as an Occupational Therapist with children/ young people and their families
  • Ability to travel round the locality.
