Job description: The post is full time and based at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital and The Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital, Margate. Remuneration is on the ST 3-9 scale with Band IA supplement of on-call duties (Non-resident on-call 1:6 with internal cover). Duties will include outpatient clinics, some laboratory work, and attendance at ward rounds and multidisciplinary meetings. Attendance at clinics at the QEQM may also be occasionally required on a rotational basis with the Specialist Trainees with whom the successful candidate will work closely.The post-holder will also see patients on clinical trials or prior to entry into studies and will be expected to be familiar with the running of all the haematological oncology studies that the department is running (see below). Duties will include check inclusion and exclusion criteria and taking informed consent and will need to be up to date with GCP training. Attendance at National (such as BSH) and potentially International (such as ASH and EHA) meetings and other appropriate educational meetings is encouraged.Main duties of the job
- Provision of a first class clinical service.
- Conduct clinical practice in accordance with the highest ethical and clinical governance standards.
- Provide support to other clinical specialities.
- Contribute to education and training of undergraduates, post graduates and staff members.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team and clinical governance meetings.
- Interpret and report laboratory investigations and provide advice to clinical colleagues.
- Provide continuing responsibility for their patients, in partnership with colleagues.

- Has one of the following qualifications; PLAB, IELTS (academic module) or GCSE English Language at Grade B or above
