Job description: What you will doThe Sr Manager Pre-Sales Engineering – GCOE will manage and lead in driving the overall adoption of engineering standards and growth by leading projects and other business initiatives to deliver growth and profitability within the Global Center of Excellence (GCOE) in BSNA. They will do this by creating partnerships, interfacing with our innovation and product development teams to help streamline processes and establish standard and simple flows between our sales teams and the GCoE Network. The Sr Manager Pre-Sales Engineering will also represent the GCOE at regular accountability and cadence meetings and will be responsible for clearly and concisely presenting the status and performance of all open initiatives to groups of leadership & stakeholders. Works under minimal supervision and in conjunction with leaders across all functional groups. Work is highly strategic in nature.How you will do itEstablish ties to all BSNA regions across JCI’s product and offering, to support solutions and presales engineering to the respective sales teams and win with our customers.Help communicate awareness of the CoE deliverables & capabilities and better enable the enterprise sales support by expanding global CoE network.Standardize process improvement activities to help identify quick wins that support building long term strategies that drive sales growth.In conjunction with the GCoE and BSNA commercial and all engineering teams, develop and maintains the long-term sales support strategy.Lead and manage teams to drive consistent process through the GCoE Network to ensure simplifications, repeatable process, efficiencies, and workload balancing are scalable an implemented throughout the Johnson Controls Enterprise.Manage sales support optimization efforts by being an advocate for GCoE capabilities, understanding issues and opportunities by product type and leading the execution of sales support optimization programs.Identifies best sales support practices and facilitates the propagation of these practices throughout the business.Continually performs evaluations to identify future opportunities for improvement and barriers to achieving strategic and financial objectives.Lead team meetings with all functional areas to track progress, identify issues and develop action plans.Analyze data results, formulate improvement strategies, operationalize corrective action, own target completion.Work with cross functional team to ensure initiatives have robust commercialization and operational strategies and tactics.Establish and maintain a regular cadence necessary to deliver expected business results.Ensure completeness of initiative deliverables and maintain requisite metrics and scorecards.Develop and maintain a robust internal operating network to foster personal effectiveness and agility.Foster an environment that maintains high productivity and team morale.
