(NGV) plays a leading role in the energy transition. We have a proven track record of developing electricity interconnectors. At 765km, Viking Link will soon be the world’s longest onshore and subsea interconnector, linking the UK and Denmark. We’re also developing a new generation of innovative offshore hybrid assets, which combine the enormous benefits of interconnectors and offshore wind.

As a Stakeholder and Communications Admin Support, you’ll experience high-profile, high-impact projects for Viking Link and New Interconnectors. Working as part of an international team, you’ll support the day-to-day delivery of stakeholder and engagement strategies. Your voice will be an important one. Here we’ll empower you to enhance and protect National Grid Ventures reputation by engaging with the communities we work within.

This role offers excellent exposure across the business, you’ll act as an interface between the project teams and NGV corporate communications with a wide range of business activities including, event planning, meetings, tech sec and much more. No two days are the same, with lots to do and get involved with, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to build their professional network and skillset at the same time.

This role is based from Warwick, and you can enjoy our hybrid working from office and home. You’ll be flexible to travelling to our UK Interconnector sites as required.

Key accountabilities

  • Work directly with the Stakeholder Engagement and Communications Manager/Project Directors and Leadership team within the projects.
  • Support and deliver high quality and creative communication and engagement material which may include training, briefings, scripts, video, brochures, newsletters and/or presentation material.
  • Maintain external stakeholder engagement framework that aligns internal and external messages. This will include planning, organisation and delivery of large-scale events.
  • Support with maintaining and publishing external websites, social media channels and internal opportunities, leveraging the relationship with Corporate Affairs.

About you

  • Strong networking, influencing and communication skills in order to build strong relationships and partner with stakeholders in the project team.
  • Understand the impact of organisational change and the importance of relationship management to overcome barriers.
  • Events management and design and facilitation of leadership conferences.
  • Strong planning, organisational skills, and high level of initiative.
  • Self-starter with a passion and a desire for continuous improvement.

What you’ll get

A competitive salary between £33,000 – £37,000 – dependent on capability.

As well as your base salary, a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
