In the role of Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering Sainsbury’s corporate strategy of “Winning in Food.” You will lead complex cross-functional projects, analysing the value chain of our own-brand products and working collaboratively with trading teams to make strategic sourcing decisions. Your responsibilities will include managing a structured branded supplier investment process, driving cost of goods reduction, and introducing exciting new propositions in-store. As an ambassador for Sainsbury’s Plan for Better and other corporate objectives, you will provide support and challenge to the trading teams, ensuring aligned decision making and optimal outcomes. Additionally, you will take charge of programme management for up to three projects, overseeing timelines, budget, risks, and blockers, while working closely with our Food First and Trading Finance teams to drive cost of goods savings and improve margin performance. By immersing yourself within the category team and building relationships across functions, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our support model and drive positive commercial outcomes.Who you are
