Job description: Strategy Specialist

As a key member of the Strategy team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future success of their clients. The ideal candidate possesses a keen understanding of marketing principles, a strategic mindset, and the ability to develop channel-agnostic solutions that drive results.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement:
  • Shape and enhance client engagement with the agency to deliver measurable results for their business.
  • Risk and Opportunity Identification:
  • Identify future risks and opportunities for clients’ marketing activities, collaborating with delivery teams on effective approaches, including the utilization of digital technology.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Host immersion workshops and stakeholder sessions to gain a deep understanding of clients’ challenges and opportunities.
  • Research and Analysis:
  • Conduct detailed research on clients, analysing web traffic, channel performance, and competitive landscapes across multiple markets.
  • Utilize quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to understand customer perceptions, pain points, motivations, and buying journey moments.
  • Media Planning and Strategy:
  • Develop channel-agnostic media plans that align with clients’ marketing strategies, justifying the chosen media channels.
  • Articulate alternate strategic routes for marketing problems and clearly communicate the chosen approach.
  • Collaboration and Implementation:
  • Work closely with specialists across Paid, Organic, Experience, and Creative to implement and manage strategies and media plans.
  • Analyse and support specialists in reporting on the effectiveness of marketing activities.
  • New Business Support:
  • Play a key role in pitch squads and contribute to new business initiatives.
  • Continuous Learning and Thought Leadership:
  • Stay informed about the latest digital marketing tools and technologies, becoming recognized as an expert internally and externally.
  • Contribute to thought leadership through writing articles, engaging on LinkedIn, and speaking at events.
  • Social and Environmental Responsibility:
  • Understand and discuss the wider social and environmental impacts of advertising and marketing, promoting responsible and sustainable practices with clients.

  • B2B experience, particularly with SaaS clients, is beneficial.
