Job Description

We are looking for a Student & Programme Support Team Leader to join UWE Bristol. You will work with one of our newly formed Academic Schools, providing support to our students and programme teams. You will lead and manage the Student & Programme Services (SPS) Team and report to the School Manager.

The Schools and professional services play a key role in progressing this work and there will be significant opportunities for the role holder to lead and/or contribute to work that will have a lasting impact.

About you: You are a confident people manager with experience in leading teams in the delivery of high quality, agile customer-focused services. committed and resilient, you enjoy working at pace and are comfortable with complexity and uncertainty. You adopt a collaborative leadership style with a coaching approach to tap into the resourcefulness and expertise of your team. 

You have excellent communication and influencing skills and establish credibility quickly with staff at all levels. You are passionate about higher education and inspire your team individually and collectively to deliver the best possible support for students. 

About Student and Academic Services: From the first point of registration to graduation and beyond, our team of over 400 professional staff is committed to enhancing the student experience and ensuring that every student can make the most of the extensive opportunities available throughout their journey. This is enabled by working closely with all areas of the University, the Students’ Union, and a wide range of external stakeholders.

Where is the role based?

This post is primarily based at our City Campus in Bristol city centre which comprises of Bower Ashton Studios, Arnolfini, Spike Island and Watershed from time to time you will also be required to work at our lively Frenchay campus.

This is a full -time, permanent post, working 37 hours per week. Interviews are likely to take place week commencing 25th March 2023.
