StandardAero is seeking motivated, eager, and innovative students looking to join our Project Team for the 2024 summer term.
As an intern at StandardAero, you will gain hands-on industry experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with our teams that raise the standard of excellence.
Over the course of your 10-12 week internship, you will have the opportunity to:
Support major projects by providing assistance in all areas of projects, Project Management, Financial Control, Quality (audit readiness and audit cycle). Lead and facilitate project activities, chair regular sessions and produce reports and presentations.
Position Overview
As a Project Management Intern/Graduate, you will be an integral part of our dynamic projects team, contributing to the planning, execution, and monitoring of various projects within our organisation. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management, enhance your skills, and work alongside seasoned professionals in a fast-paced and innovative environment
Job Duties:
Students may be involved in one or many of the following:
- Project Planning and co-ordination of project tasks to support
- The relocation and migration of engine lines
- Activities required to achieve Growth and Quality of earnings improvement (2024 Projects Roadmap)
- Finance
- Manage cost control and collation of reports of project budget
- Gain estimates required to produce Business Cases
- Provide support in compiling Business Cases
- Quality
- Lead audit readiness activities
- Support internal and external audit process
- Risk Register and MOC (Management of Change) – Ensure that Project Risk Register and MOC are compiled, regularly reviewed and any actions arising are actioned
- Maintain accurate project documentation and file structure and housekeeping
- Support with Contractor and Supplier management and visits
- Produce reports and presentations as required for internal and external parties
- Represent the Project Team at internal and external meetings, schedule, prepare agendas and capture actions
- Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
- Carries out special projects as assigned
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (for interns)
- Project Management/involvement/experience
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
