Job description: South Hampshire College Group are recruiting for an ambitious, professional, resilient and respectful:

Job Coach (Employment Support Worker)

Competitive salary ranging up to £26,140 (FTE) per annum/pro rata with Local Government Pension Scheme.

Position 1 – 18.5 hours per week (0.5 FTE), 52 weeks per year.

Position 2 – 18.5 hours per week (0.5 FTE), 52 weeks per year, fixed term until 31st July 2025.

Consideration will be given to those interested in combining the positions to a full time position which would be fixed term until 31st July 2025, upon a review will be taken.

Benefits to Support Work Life Balance: 30 days annual leave pro rata + bank holidays.

Duties:

  • Provide tailored support to young people to enable them to gain, learn from, develop in and maintain their internship and to make a positive progression into employment.
  • Provide tailored support to employers to enable them to offer a meaningful internship and recruit interns where possible.
  • Co-ordinate, develop and deliver the work element of the Supported Internship Programme.
  • To support the Lead Job Coach in providing an outstanding provision for both students and employers.

Skills/experience:

  • Highly motivated support worker with a range of employer and student relationship management.
  • Experience of working within the education sector is desirable.
  • Good organisational skills with ability to organise own workload and able to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Good standard of computer literacy and have knowledge of Microsoft office packages.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to include; communication, adaptability and flexibility.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum GCSE grade 4 / C in English & Maths or equivalent.
  • Qualification in working with people with learning difficulties and or disabilities / supported employment / careers or equivalent.
  • Relevant degree and/or appropriate qualifications is desirable.
