We are looking for a Director for JLL’s UK Sustainability Consulting team, specialising in services to our Corporate Occupier client segment.

We are looking for a Director to take a senior role leading our Corporate Occupier Sustainability Consulting Services

This role will be focused on delivering our sector-leading Sustainability Consulting services to Corporate Occupier clients, business development, oversight of large occupier client mandates, team management, and implementation of multi-faceted programmes for occupiers across the UK.

The opportunity to work with us will provide you with exposure to a number of high-profile clients. By engaging with clients at a senior strategic level, you will help establish their approach to managing sustainability risks and realising opportunities, as well as providing advice to help them implement world class sustainability services across their portfolios.

What this job involves

Overall ownership of sales / delivery of the team’s full suite of sustainability products and services into Corporate Occupier clients, developing annual and longer-term business development strategy to support our ambitious growth and impact ambitions

Acting as a senior single point of contact for occupier clients, working to develop trusted advisor status

Working closely with other Sustainability Consulting ‘segment’ leads (Investor and Developer) to ensure consistency when creating our overarching business development approach, using Corporate Occupier knowledge to tailor to client needs

Aligning with Sustainability Consulting service delivery leads to build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of our broad service offer, convincingly articulating the benefits to clients

Working closely with a range of senior stakeholders across our UK, regional and global Work Dynamics team to deliver a fully integrated end-to-end sustainability solution for our clients

Contribution to strategic service development, supporting the identification of new service lines as the market evolves

Overseeing recruitment and financial forecasting and budgeting for work relating to occupied clients

Working closely with the EMEA Lead Director to support the development of the wider EMEA Sustainability Consulting team, as part of the EMEA leadership team team

Project management oversight and senior client account management

Engagement across JLL to cross-sell consulting services

Line management and mentorship provision to more junior members of the team

Developing a strong profile both internally and externally, acting as a spokesperson for JLL Sustainability and its strategic sustainability consulting services at external events, conferences, panels etc.

Desired experience and technical skills

Passionate about working towards a sustainable future

An excellent understand of the key sustainability issues for real estate including, but not limited to; occupier “ESG”, net zero carbon, climate risk, science-based targets, social value creation, sustainable finance, sustainability legislation and accreditation and strategic environmental performance improvement plans

Experience of working within sustainability in the real estate sector

Proven commercial leadership capabilities including delivering significant annual growth

Senior level consulting experience

Experience working with corporate clients, commercial property, property managers and an understanding of the landlord and tenant relationship

Excellent ability to build relationships with clients and their internal teams

A strong track record integrating sustainability into organisations’ operations

Experience working in a collaborative way with clients and other stakeholders to develop ambitious and robust sustainability programmes

Awareness of the developments of the legislative landscape, and experience in helping clients respond to these

Proven project management experience and excellent communication skills

Attention to detail and accuracy in written and numeric work

Team-oriented with proven ability to lead and foster excellent working relationships, and to promote team development and individual growth

Ability to obtain buy-in and engagement from employees at all levels

Experience liaising with, engaging and presenting to senior business leaders, one-to-one or in facilitated workshops.
